In orthodontics and paediatric dentistry the treatment varies for each individual patient, and it is therefore not possible to give a precise indications of the fees. At Dental Kids, each patient is seen for an initial consultation, at which a thorough examination is carried out and, barring any further investigations (e.g. xrays, scans), the patient is then given an initial diagnosis and a treatment plan is suggested. If the proposed treatment is simple and straightforward the patient is given a verbal estimate. If the treatment is more complex, the patient is sent a written estimate, explaining the treatment and outlining the costs, and the payment terms. Estimates are always sent before any treatment is commenced. The cost of the initial consultation for an orthodontic appointment is £95 and for a paediatric new patient consultation is £130-£150, depending on the child’s age.
