Dr. Kakoulli earned her degree in Dental Medicine with Distinction, at Palacky Unversity School of Medicine and Dentistry in the Czech Republic. Marina has a keen interest in Paediatric and Special Care Dentistry.
As part of her training, she was chosen to participate in the dental team treating patients with Intellectual developmental disabilities and psychiatric disorders.
As an intern to the Vice President of ICMFS (International College of Maxillofacial Surgery), she participated in maxillofacial surgeries, as well as procedures involving supernumerary teeth and impacted canines in children.
Marina has participated in Summer Internship Programs, organizing and conducting visits in Cyprus elementary schools, delivering oral health instructions in an interactive, hands on program. She also participated as a volunteer in the Community Outreach Programs in the Czech Republic, providing oral health screenings to patients in underprivileged communities.
Her passion in Preventive dentistry has led her to enrol in the leading continuing education program of the California Society of Paediatric Dentistry on caries prevention and early detection.
Marina is a member of the Cypriot and British Dental Associations as well as the International Association for Disabilities and Oral Health and the California Society of Paediatric Dentistry.
Marina’s philosophy is to provide comprehensive, compassionate and gentle dental care ensuring a positive experience for both the patient and the parent. Her all rounded approach towards patients together with her sunny disposition allows Marina to make even the most nervous patient feel at ease.
She enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
She speaks Greek, English, French and Czech.
