
Maria-Christina graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Dental School in 2005. After working as a General Dentist, she continued her studies towards a Master’s Degree in Clinical Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute – University College London. Her research field was the proliferating abilities of dental pulp stemcells.
Following the completion of her specialist training programme in Paediatric Dentistry she achieved Membership in Paediatric Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was included in the GDC’s Paediatric Dentistry Specialty Register.
Maria Christina has worked in different dental care systems both public and private in Europe which allowed her to develop her communication and interpersonal skills. She is using a broad range of non-pharmachological and pharmachological behaviour management techniques in order to deliver the best dental health to her young patients. She is very capable in treating equally efficiently very young children as well as adolescents with various dental and/or medical complications.
She is a highly motivated paediatric dentist and confident communicator who can relate well with all age groups. She loves working with children and whilst delivering care she is very patient, compassionate and finds creative ways to engage with all age groups. She is keen on helping her patients built a positive attitude towards dentistry that will help them have a life-long good oral health and confident, beautiful smiles. It is this passion that inspires her always to find new ways to create a pleasant experience for her young patients.
To stay informed of new developments in Paediatric Dentistry she attends and also participates as a guest speaker in national and international dental conferences.
She has participated in various volunteer programs. Among them special place in her heart was her participation in the Healthy Smiles Healthy Athletes Program during the 2011 Special Olympics. There she had the opportunity to examine a group of 3500 patients from different countries and provide oral examination and prevention.
